Fall Trimester Begins
Sept 1 starts the Fall trimester. Club dues remain the same, $385 across the board.
The NOFC will continue to be on a Monday / Thursday practice routine with warm-ups starting a 6:45pm.
Intro to Olympic fencing will start on Monday Sept 14 and run through Dec 14.
It is time that all fencers renew their USA Fencing membership. All sanctioned Local and Divisional certified events and NOFC practices need basic USAF Access membership. Because the Crescent City Open is a ROC (Regional Open Circuit) it will require full competitive membership. Of course if you are an Access member and wish to fence a regional or National event, you can bump your membership up three days prior to registration. You can't go back down after the event. Sorry, no give backs from USA Fencing.

Into to Olympic Fencing
Intro to Olympic fencing will start on Monday Sept 14 and run through Dec 14.
The class will cover the fundamental building blocks for all three Olympic weapons: foil, saber and epee.
The intro class focuses the new fencer toward a weapons choice, so that they can enter the intermediate class with a basic understanding of fencing vocabulary, positions for both offensive attack and defensive strategy. This will allow the intermediate coaches to build on learned fencing knowledge and not have to start over. Also strip etiquette and a bit of referee knowledge will be touched on in the intro class.
The intro course is $385 which will include al the above plus USA Fencing Access membership and a three weapon beginners glove. Your dues will also cover all needed gear rental.
Beginner's attire: tennis shoes, T-shirt and sweatpants (old school grays are the best)
LA Division Championships 2025/26
The Senior Championship is only open to Louisiana Division members with a current competitive USA Fencing membership, 13 years old or older
Youth Events are for ALL fencers 13 years of age and younger. USA Fencing membership is strongly recommended. See Demo Registration
All USA FENCING Rules Apply. Louisiana Division members only. Medals for top four finishers
All senior fencers most have the minimum entry level USA Fencing membership and registered in the Louisiana Division
Annual meeting will be held at the end of the senior foil event.

Late registration will begin on 5/31/2026. All weapons fees will double. No walk ups. No proof of USAF membership equals to no fencing.
The Adam "Bad Ass" Ray Epee Melee
There will be only one winner. That winner will be determined by bouts won than by indicators if necessary. There are no awards or medals for the First Loser nor the two Second Losers but only accolades for the winner. This includes but does not limit to the tournament being immediately renamed in their honor until it is fenced again and the right to defend their title free the following year. Sanctioned rating if there are 16 or more fencers.
Cost: $48.00 until midnight of May 5th
