Welcome to NOFC

The New Orleans Fencers Club is a long-standing hub for athletic development, discipline, and community in the Greater New Orleans area. Rooted in a rich local legacy, the club welcomes fencers of all experience levels—from curious beginners to seasoned competitors—creating an inclusive environment where individuals can grow both on and off the strip. With training in all three Olympic weapons—foil, épée, and sabre—members are introduced to a sport that builds focus, confidence, and resilience, while fostering meaningful connections within a supportive and passionate community.

Led by experienced coaches and dedicated instructors, the club offers a blend of structured group classes and personalized lessons designed to meet each fencer where they are in their journey. Whether stepping into fencing for the first time or refining competitive technique, members benefit from expert guidance and a culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, sportsmanship, and respect. The club also serves as a gathering point for regional fencers, regularly hosting and participating in competitive training opportunities that elevate the level of play for everyone involved.

With a proud history tied to influential coaches and a commitment to accessibility, the New Orleans Fencers Club makes it easy to get started—providing equipment for beginners and guiding new members through the process, including affiliation with USA Fencing. More than just a place to train, NOFC is a vibrant community where individuals of all ages come together to challenge themselves, stay active, and share in the unique excitement of the sport.

Our Values:

  • Excellence: We are committed to high standards in everything we do—from the quality of coaching to performance in competition—continually striving to improve and grow.

  • Tradition:We honor the rich history of fencing and the legacy of those who have shaped it, carrying those principles forward in our training and culture.

  • Shared Experience:We foster a strong, supportive environment where members connect, encourage one another, and share in the experience of the sport.

  • Respect & Integrity: We uphold respect, integrity, and fair play, recognizing that how we compete is just as important as the results we achieve.
